Many people are combating multiple chronic diseases and are underrepresented and underserved as a population by doctors and medical professionals. Many food/cooking forums focus on a particular theme or diet, not actually using medical nutrition therapy to help treat people suffering from numerous comorbidities. People are given a rough outline of what to avoid, which doesn’t provide enough direction for actual behavior change. I am giving people an interface with medical nutrition therapy that is customized to fit to their particular ailments. Nutrition is not a one size fits all prescription. I custom tailor ingredients, recipes, and explain the food science behind WHY a person will be benefited from eating this. I combine the approachable recipes with cutting edge food science creating a marriage between the two that offers the best platform for nutritional support.
My name is Madisson. At the age of 15 I was infected with Lyme disease, and wasn't diagnosed until 8 years later. I was debilitated, in a wheel chair, and a single mother to a 2 year old. A few years later I was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis, alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency, a hole in my heart, with the threat of developing liver disease. The point is, I was sick. I decided perhaps the only way I could help myself was through nutrition. I hope to help others take charge of their health, and kick their diseases to the curb.
