Banana Peanut Butter Date Baked Oatmeal

-1/2 C. Olive Oil

Nutrition Facts

Acai Berry

Acai berries have had a lot of hype around them in the last few years.  I always knew they were good for me, but I honestly wasn't sure why! After some research I have found out what all the noise has been about regarding these magical berries.
HEART HEALTH
Acai berries have large amounts of plant sterols which act as vasodilators, meaning a relaxation of blood vessels, which leads to a decrease in blood pressure.  The decreased blood pressure puts less strain on arteries, allowing for general improved circulation and less of a chance for clots, strokes, and heart attacks. Due to the increased blood flow acai berries have also been associated with being a great natural remedy for erectile dysfunction.

WHOLE BODY EFFECTS
New studies emerging are showing that acai berries could play a role in weight management, issues related to skin, digestion, allergies, the immune system, and overall energy levels. Research has shown acai to be one of the best sources of antioxidants, an aphrodisiac, a brain booster, and a great weapon against premature aging, cancer, and unexplained fatigue or exhaustion.

Beet Powder

BLOOD BOOSTER
Beet Root Powder acts a powerful cleansing agent, resulting in a balanced blood PH, flushing fatty deposits from the blood, and improving circulation.  Beet root powder is a major catalyst for building a healthy blood supply and detoxifying the liver and the spleen.  Researchers have shown that beet root powder can be an extremely beneficial supplement for menstruating women.

Beet roots contain good amounts of vitamins A, B, and C, including folate (vitamin B8), which assists the body in the production of insulin and is essential for pregnant women to prevent birth defects in their unborn children.

HEART HEALTH
Beet Root Powder is a rare source of DMG (dimethylglycine), a substance that contributes to a strong cardiovascular system.

Bee Pollen

ENERGY ENHANCER
The range of nutrients found in bee pollen makes it a great natural energizer. The carbohydrates, protein and B vitamins can help keep you going all day by enhancing stamina and fighting off fatigue.

SKIN SOOTHER
Bee pollen is commonly used in topical products that aim to treat inflammatory conditions and common skin irritations like psoriasis or eczema. The amino acids and vitamins protect the skin and help the regeneration of cells.

RESPIRATORY RELIEF
Bee pollen contains a high quantity of antioxidants that may have an anti-inflammatory effect on the tissues of the lungs, preventing the onset of asthma.

ALLERGY AIDE
Pollen reduces histamines, which leads to a decrease in the presence of many allergies. Dr. Leo Conway, MD, of Denver Colorado, reported that 94 percent of his patients were completely free from allergy symptoms once treated with oral feedings of pollen. Symptoms ranging from asthma to allergies to sinus problems were cleared, confirming a relationship between bee pollen and a wide range of respiratory diseases.

CBD Honey

Although the effects of CBD aren’t conclusive, preliminary research shows that CBD can help reduce chronic pain, especially those related to nerve pain.

CHRONIC PAIN
CBD significantly suppressed chronic inflammatory and neuropathic pain without getting the high associated with marijuana
Recently it was granted approval in Canada for the relief of neuropathic pain in multiple sclerosis patients.

DIABETES CONTROL
A recent animal study found CBD treatment significantly reduces the incidence of diabetes in mice from 86% in non-treated control mice to an incidence of 30% in CBD-treated mice.

Evidence is emerging that CBD can be used to slow β-cell damage in type 1 diabetes.  I will post updates as more information is released since this can be a huge help to the diabetic population.
